got this more than 6 months ago, used it fairly often, (few days weekly) haven't charged it yet, and it still has charge! seriouslyI'm more confused and impressed about that than it's pricegreat budget electric driver,ample and adjustable torque, 2 speed settings,recipe for a great tool, kept it simple, no bells and whistles to go wrongI got this drill based on the good reviews and its sleek design. It was a terrible disappointment.Tolerances are really bad. Mounting and un-mounting the battery is not smooth and requires a lot of force. The speed range switch is so difficult to move I have to put both thumbs on it and push as hard as I can. The first time I depressed the trigger all the way it was like the 4th of July in the rear drill housing. Sparks all over the place! But as I used it more the brushes got seated well and there was only normal, minimal sparking on start-up. The led provides good lighting in the work area. Power is OK and it will handle light to medium jobs. The chuck is plastic, of course, and does not work smoothly. It grips the bit securely but then loosens with continued use.And now the accessories. I love the magnetic wrist band. The magnets are super strong and there are two pockets for small non-magnetic parts. This is the best part of the bundle.The drill bits are a joke. Most are bent enough that they wobble in the chuck. I examined them under a microscope and some of them don’t even have cutting edges. Garbage.I love the rectangular rubber block bit holder but the bits are a toss-up. The flat blade and Phillips bits are OK. The Torx bits and hex bits look like somebody made them with a hammer and chisel.I didn’t use the flex extension but it seems to be pretty well made.The bag is nice. Good material and well made but hey - it's a bag.Overall the drill can be used for light work but it’s no fun using it. Not worth $40.Yeah – back to Amazon.EDITI have given the drill a good workout and I think my previous comments were a little too tough. The brushes have worn in and now there is very little sparking in the housing. The battery mount surfaces seem to have smoothed out and mounting is much better. The speed range switch is a little better but it still takes a lot of effort to move it. The plastic chuck is still a problem and I don’t think that is going away. I can fiddle with the drill bits, loosening and re-tightening two or three times and minimize the wobble, but it’s still there. I think plastic is just a poor material for a drill chuck. The light is installed above the trigger and there is no way it can provide good illumination on the work area. My finger casts a shadow right where it shouldn’t.SO…… I kinda like this drill. It is compact, not too heavy, a little under-powered, but all in all it’s not that bad. It does fill a niche for light jobs.I haven’t changed my mind about the accessories. The bits are trash and they would have done better to include fewer bits of decent quality. The wrist band is great.I’m going to keep it and bump my rating up from 1 star to 3 stars.I was really surprised at the torque it had specially for the price it is very good quality I haven’t had it very long to know how long the battery life is so far it’s been very goodVery powerful it will last for any job i do. If i have any job weather it takes me all day or just a few hrs this is the drill to have the chuck is starting to get a little tight now i may have to investigate how to grease it but still very good and powerful . It last the length of your job just dont forget to charge afterwards. True lithium batteryI've only used this drill once since I received it. I tried to tighten screws in my curtain rod brackets. It didn't do the job. So I don't have much to say about this product.I do wonder what the switch is on the top of the drill. There seems to be a "1" and "2" setting but the switch is stuck in the #1 setting. There is no info on this in the instructions.I used this to build my desk and some furniture, very good for the price and has some power.I like the light to help see in tight places, it is a bit heavier than I thought: however it works like a charm. I recommend this product for quick DIY projects.This is a great drill for the money ! It’s lightweight too.
