It did the job. My vent is about 35’ long. A bit of a pain to screw the pieces together and to take apart but not too bad. I feel better having a clean dryer vent. I’m glad I bought this. It came with an extra brush.It was easy to use...didn't have directions but it had a drill tip using the drill tip made it soo much easier! Had a huge blockage and it worked!Easy to use, but not very flexible. I have an indoor laundry room with no direct access to the outside. The vent travels through the house walls before venting outside. Was able the get the brush in about 8-10 ft, then it hit a corner and wouldn't go any further and about 15 ft coming from the other end. The rods weren't flexible enough to handle the corner.Gave it a try upon receipt. It worked just fine and served the purpose. The kit is with 12 rods each in 19" long (not including the male threaded end that goes into the female end of another piece). So the total length is 19 feet, NOT 20 FEET. Also one of the rod's female end is bare and without thread. It is due to poor quality control. My duct is 12 feet, so I do not need to use all rods. Even if I need to use all rods in other situation, I can use that defect rod at the first piece that attached to my cordless drill. It should be 5 star but due to above two issues, I can only give it 4 stars.I Have used this product three times. Two were successful. The third use started like the others. I'm cleaning the vent, from the outside of the house. I'm not using the brush with the drill because I can't connect it properly. My husband won't help but I need to clean the vents today because I had a nightmare the night before about a house fire. I want to be proactive and clean the vents. As I'm nearing the end of my cleaning the plastic pieces of the brush came apart about four feet into the vent. My arms would have the double in length to get the brush out. It's no use from the vent access inside either. I have to tuck my tail and go tell my husband that the brush is stuck in the vents. He's irritated. LOL. Solution. Magnetic mechanics extendable pen. My idea, not his. So maybe tape the sections together. I'm not that mad. I'll probably continue to use it.When my vent clogged my wife kept running the dryer for hours. Fortunately as the clog got bigger my wife kept trying to dry clothes and kept the clog sopping wet. Once this came in the mail the clog was 8 foot long! This was easy to assemble and use and was able to completely clear out the vent. Once the wet clog was removed this made it very easy to clean out the rest of the vent. Outs now a staple in my household tool kit.Our dryer wasn't drying like it should. One day, I realized there wasn't much air flowing from the outside dryer vent. We bought this to clear the vent and it worked great. The vent was clogged but this product cleared it. We have a 15' long vent pipe with two 90 degree elbows and this product went smoothly though the whole thing.Tips: Run your drill in forward (clockwise) only. If you run your drill in reverse the extension rods will loosen and disconnect. Tape the extension rod seams as a preventive measure.This dryer vent cleaner is more expensive because it has the extra features needed to clean the vent without a mess by attaching a vaccume to catch the lint. The rods are more flexable than other kits. And the other features look like they will be useful too.
