To be able to work with Ronald and strum strings with Ernie. On paper, sound plausable. In reality, TOTALLY AWESOME!!! Even though the songs are remade over from the original versions, their magic sprinkled all over leads their talents in their fields to make the songs almost their own. Sly Stone, Marvin Gaye and more are tributes to the artist performing them. They nailed it. The faster tracks have that power behind the forces playing the songs and the slower track are just as melodic and lush, and after three spins, my favorite of the entire disc is I REMEMBER, with Carlos's wife Cindy at lead vocals with Ronald backing her up. BEAUTIFUL!!! CONSTANT REPEAT!!! When you have iconic artists coming together to release a project, it can't be anything less, otherwise, it's a waste of time. This project CLEARLY wasn't and I'm so glad that I had a part in supporting it.
