I remember buying this album on cassette back in 1988 after receiving a copy of I am the night and it blew me away. One of the things that I loved about this band back then was the guitar work and that was back when he was Diamond Darrell. Even on this album the guitar work was so diferent then what anyone else was doing back then. I just recently picked it up on CD and I gotta say that even after all these years of not listening to it I still dig this F'n album. I just received it in the mail three weeks ago and it is all that I have been listening to. Granted Cowboys and Vulgar are better albums but in my opinon this one is their third best. Phils voice has a lot of range on this and all of the music is tight. It does have the typical 80's gang vocals on certain songs and there are some cheesy 80's hooks but like I said for the time it was really good and still holds up today. I can see why they didnt want to play any songs off of the first three albums when Cowboys came out but I think they could have played a couple of songs off of this one like Power Metal and Over and out. Also the fact that it is the only Pantera album that Dime actually sings lead vocals on (PST88) makes it a definite must have for true Pantera fans.
